Jeff Gabel on Staten Island

Jeff Gabel is opening a solo presentation of work at Staten Island's Snug Harbor Cultural Center this weekend. The exhibition, curated by Frank Verpoorten, is part of a series of four solo shows coming under the overall theme of 'STORYlines: Narrative in Drawing'. Jeff will be using the show as a mini retrospective and has made a selection of his own favorite work from over the past few years. The exhibition continues through February, so will coincide with our own exhibition of new work by Jeff, opening January 20th, 2007. Join the artist this Saturday afternoon, December 2nd, 5-8pm for the opening reception at Snug Harbor, info and directions here.

Art Basel Miami

The gallery will be debuting two major new installations by Zilvinas Kempinas and Ian Burns at this year's Art Basel Miami Beach. You can find us in the Art Nova section inside the main hall, Hall A, and we are booth N1. The fair runs from December 7 through 10, their site is here for further info.

Zilvinas at Margulies Collection

Miami will be extra special for us this year as, coinciding with the fair, the Margulies Collection at the Warehouse is open featuring installations of Martin Z, Margulies' recent aquisitions, including Zilvinas Kempinas' 'Columns' and 'Bike Messenger', both first seen at SBG at the beginning of this year. The Margulies Collection is open to the public from October through March of each year and will have the extended hours of 9am-2pm during the Art Basel Maimi fair, more info here. One of the most dynamic collections of contemporary art currently assembled, we are all delighted for Zilvinas to have such extensive installations featured there.
